Some time ago a blogger colleague Trablogger told me that he could cook Spanish omelette. When I saw his Spanish omelette I was shocked 😱 and I promised to give him the authentic recipe of Spanish omelette . His recipe looked good but that wasn’t a real spanish omelette!
Here’s my Tortilla española recipe for Jithin and for all those who want to do it. It is easy, cheap, healthy and delicious 😋
INGREDIENTS: (For two persons)
- Six or seven potaoes
- A piece of onion
- Some salt
- Oil
- Four eggs
METHOD:
1- Peel the potatoes, cut them into thick slices and chop the onion 😭 (Don’t cry they are only onions) 😈
2_Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the potatoes and onion and stew gently for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally until the potatoes are softened. 😊
3_ Take four eggs and stir them properly. 😌
4_ Mix potatoes with eggs and then put everything into the pan and cook on a moderate heat. Invert on a plate and slide back into the pan and cook a few more minutes for the other side. 😎
5_ Serve on a plate. Ready to eat! 😉
¡Buen provecho!!! 😍
Jithin, here is your recipe but I have just eaten your omelette 😖
Yo la hago igual !!! Un poquito de pan para acompañar y a disfrutar !!! Tiene muy buena pinta !!

No way. It is not an omelette. It is a tortilla and cannot be beaten by anything eldo. Love them, especially tortilla babé!

Gracias a tí por tu comentario, Pepe 🙂 Es una pena que algo que es tan fácil no sepan hacerlo ; en los restaurantes de fuera de España le llaman tortilla española a cualquier cosa 😉
